Every now and then when your reading reviews you come across someone complaining about how busy a club is and how it ruins a night. Cream in Amnesia has always been a night people say is to busy but in my experience there has always been a place to stand, even if it’s not on the dance floor or facing the DJ.
But over the last 12 months the attention hasn’t been on Cream but its been on Pacha, I keep reading time and time again about the club being so full for the FMIF night and for the Swedish House Mafia Night. As ive said in the past, people will always complain about it being to busy and it not being enjoyable, but these reviews are now changing to people not feeling safe in a club which i feel is a totally different story.
Ibiza Voice has just published a story about David Guetta’s night at which people were pushing each other around and scuffling with security. It’s certainly not the type of thing you want to be hearing about any night. Ibiza voice seem to be calling to Pacha with the article they released to do something about it and i agree with them.
In the 12 years ive been going to Ibiza ive never seen or heard of any of the big clubs say a night has sold out. This type of overcrowding is only something that seems to be talked about in the last couple of years and it is always at the more commercial nights on the island. Maybe the nights are attracting more people than the club can handle, or maybe the internet is just making it easier to find stuff like this out without being there in person.
Either way, it really seems like Pacha need to address what really seems to be a problem with their two commercial nights.

One of the things i love with the summer is the release of the various albums we get. Last year, Pacha did quite well with their releases, the Pacha Pure Dance CD stayed in my car for quite a while!
This year, Pacha have started of the season with a chillout classics album, now i know what everyone is thinking, another classics album! Well this is Pacha. Its a good mix of classic chillout and ultimate classic Ibiza chillout! Only the clubs in Ibiza can catch the special vibe of the Ibiza sunset on a CD and i think this CD does it quite well. Its has 3 CD’s of music and captures everything you would expect and more from a chillout album.
I can never get tired of listening to Chillout out Groove Armada and Cafe Del Mar will never go away! Ultimately for me Smokebelch is the ultimate Ibiza sunset tune, grab a beer sit back, listen and forget about the world for a few minutes!

I’ve just watched this video about Ibiza in the winter made by Defected, it talks to a variety of people who live on the island who i suspect are all connected to Defected.
New Year seems so long ago now, however Pacha have said happy new year with a short video of the NYE party they had. I need to stop now, all these video’s are giving me itchy feet!!
I need to thank Pacha for giving me things to blog about in the old season!!
They have just posted another video on YouTube to promote the upcoming DVD ‘Summer Feelings’. The DVD will be a triple disk and will no doubt be all about the clubbing and fashion that surrounds Pacha.
If your anything like me, you will always make time when you’re in Ibiza to get to the shops that sells all the clubs merchandise, The things you can buy in the shops in Ibiza (pacha shop, mambo shop, space shop that big shop on the corner in PDB!!) you generally can’t really find anywhere else.
Today however i have stumbled across the Pacha online shop which currently has a sale on.
http://pachacollection.com is an online shop selling a range of the clothes that you can buy from the shops in Ibiza, They don’t seem to have everything but if you like the clothing range that Pacha produce then its well worth a visit.
As an update to this post, you can also buy Pacha merchandise for a really good price at www.eivissasunset.co.uk.
