Google plus hasn’t made to much of an impact in the non tech world, however, Some Dj’s and record labels do seem to have taken an interest.
Today (i think) Google communities sprung into life, you can pretty much see them as Facebook Pages. Ive never really jumped onto the facebook page bandwagon and put much effort into it.
I thought i would change that with Google Communities and so i set one up!
Its not an Ibiza Blog community, its just a General Ibiza community, if you have your own blog, business, night, salon, jet pack company in Ibiza, come along and spread the love. Im not sure if everyone has access to but events can be added to the community, with events comes googles Party Mode, which gives real time updates and media from people involved.
Anyone can join in, but i will kick out spammers. Its only been made today so initially a bit thin on the ground in numbers. Let you mates and your mum know about it

Next Tuesday, Mambo play host to a very special night for a great cause. Mambo in The Mix, is a charity event raising money for the Red Cross, and they have something very special lined up.
Planned to coincide with their 18th birthday (eek, they were 5 when i first went!) They have a night of drinks and music planned, with a twist.
On the night you can expect to see the following Artisits:
- Armin Van Buuren
- Paul Van Dyk
- Carl Cox
- Eric Prydz
- Judge Jules
- Roger Sanchez
- Harnan Cattaneo
- Duane Harden
- Woody Van Eyden
- Adrian Lux
- Mark Fanciulli
- DJ Oliver
- Seth Troxler
- Zdar Of Cassius
All of these Dj’s will be working behind the bar in Mambo at some point throughout the evening. In what would be the most surreal event if it ever happened to you, PVD could be serving you a beer, or Seth Troxler could be mixing your Pimms!
Whats more, you could be playing the music from the Dj booth, while the Dj’s are mixing the drinks! It sounds like Mambos will be a road block on the 18th, but it will be well worth it for your favourite DJ to be serving you, and money being raised for charity.
I think its great these guys have taken time to do this, so return the favour and if you’re in Ibiza next Tuesday, go down and check it out. If you’re not there but would like to contribute, then head over and make a donation on the Mambo website

Everyone loves the beach, and everyone loves a party, put them together and through in one of the best dance acts of all time, and you have yourself one hell of a party.
If you’re not bothered about the Radio 1 gig (which most people aren’t) or you didn’t get a ticket, then head down to La Plage which is net to the radio 1 gig and party on down to Groove Armada, Tim Sweeney and Huxley. With only 2000 people getting into the Radio 1 show ive got a feeling this beach part is going to be a road block
The last time i was partying on the beach down there was when Ushuaia was cool and only a bar on the beach. If i had the option, i would probably opt for this beach party. and the best thing is… ITS FREE!
On the 9th June 2012, Amnesia will be opening for yet another season entertaining the masses. Priced at 40 there are two rooms of music to tantalise your taste buds.
This year you can expect to see the likes of Sander Kleinenberg in the main room with the likes of Reeboot on the terrace.
Every year Space has the headlines when it comes to opening parties and Amnesia have never done much to open sooner, however, Amnesia is one opening party ive not been to that i would make the effort to get to. For me, Amnesia doesn’t have the glitz and the glamor when it comes to the opening parties, but it does have the real people and some serious music.

Pukka Up are one of the old guard when it comes to Ibiza, Always there, always reliable, and they have always ruled the waves with their boat parties. If my patchy mind remembers correctly, Pukka Up were the first real club brand to really make waves with the boat parties (like what i did there!!)
In 2012 they are running two competitions at the moment to become an integral part of the Pukka Up 2012 season.
The first competition is to become the IT Girl of Pukka up, the only requirements are that you are attractive and love to party….. Ibiza is short of girls like that.. honest! If you think this is your ticket to a summer in Ibiza go over to the Pukka Up Facebook page to sign up https://www.facebook.com/pukkaupfanpage/app_160181377416321
If you are not a pouting girl, then you still have a chance to be in Ibiza for the summer with the DJ competition they are running with the chance to win a residency on the regular Boat parties that will be running. If this is more your bag, then send a 60 minute Mix to firstname.lastname@example.org
2011 was a great year for the Ibiza Rocks guys, they had a great lineup of talent on during the summer and they also went all Ska with their closing party when Madness took to the stage to finish of the year. Madness playing at Ibiza Rocks fit in well with a whole host of gigs from bands, groups that you would not expect to see on the Island and it all seems to have gone down well.
Ibiza Rocks are already however, busy planning next year. The Hotel opens from the 15th May with weekly gigs taking place from the 6th June for 17 weeks. You can expect the usual top class lineup every Wednesday throughout the summer and if your staying at the hotel the your gig ticket is already included in the price.
New for 2012 are Saturday nights, if bands are not completely your thing you can go to the hotel on a Saturday to see a top class range of Dj’s playing on the main stage next to the pool. Last year, people like Annie Mac and FatBoy Slim played in the hotel, other dates that stick in my mind in the past is Stave Angello with his Size Matters party.

Its only two weeks away now and Radio 1 will be what everyone is talking about in Ibiza. They are throwing a free party at Ushuaia but you will need a ticket to get in. Tickets can be picked up at a selection of venues around Ibiza starting from Wednesday the 3rd August.
If you’re not down their on Wednesday at the times stated, i will be very surprised if you get a ticket. If you land in Ibiza on Thursday or Friday, then again, i would be surprised if there were any tickets left. The demand to be at Radio 1 events is remarkable and every man and his dog will be trying to get tickets!
If you do get tickets then a free bus will be put on for you.
IF your on the Island on Wednesday then get down to the following places for tickets:
Café Mambo from 1100
Ibiza Rocks Bar from 1100
