Ibiza Blog – Eat Sleep Breathe

This year DC10 and Circo Loco open their doors on the 30th May, I think this is pretty much cemented as the permanent opening weekend now as it ties in with too much other stuff for it to be moved round freely.

Anyway, You can now purchase your tickets for the Circo Loco opening party, I went to it last year and all the ticket outlets stopped selling tickets the day before the event saying it had sold out, so make sure you get your ticket if you want to go. Last year, they were letting people in on the door though the club was completely rammed to breaking point so it wasn’t a guaranteed entry.

You can read my previous blog post about Circo Loco @ DC10 opening for line-up information when it comes through.

The one thing i love about the internet today is the access you get to media, news, audio etc… The thing i love more is when the clubs and bars of Ibiza get in on the action.

Today i came across a video on YouTube that Savannah has made. Its a look back to look forward video! confused? lets just call it 2010 highlights and start looking forward to this summer!!

For me, Privilege and Amnesia are the two clubs i see as being the original foundations of the clubbing scene in Ibiza, right or wrong that’s how i picture it. A couple of weeks ago a i published some video’s of Amnesia closing party in 1989. Recently Ibiza Spotlight have written an article about the history of Ku which later got renamed as Privilege.

If it interests you like it does me then take a read, there are some great photo’s with the article as well 🙂

Early bird tickets for the space opening are now on sale. The Early birds only seem to be available for the sunday but at the moment and the tickets are priced at €45. The tickets will give you one free drink (don’t drop it like my friend did last year) and you have to be in the club by 10pm.

    Mr Pedros Ibiza Blog Session

Today we have the first of what i am hoping to make a series of Mixes from Dj’s in the UK. All have played in Ibiza in the past and they are all well worth a listen. I have started it off by invitation only. A small mix of Dj’s i have contact with who will provide a more underground sound.

To start of with i have a mix from Mr Pedros. I first heard Mr Pedros many moons ago in the basement of a restaurant.  Dusted was his night in Middlesbrough, the ceiling was about 7ft high, it was hot, sweaty, and it was one of the best nights in the area at the time!

Since those days Mr Pedros has moved on, You can find him playing in the Manchester area but more recently he has been locked away producing. He has had great success with his track Bang The Drum which was signed by Steve Angello’s label Size and also got a remix from AN21.

Mr Pedros latest productions have also been picked up by two different labels showing that Mr Pedros is in demand!  Tinpot Orchestra has been signed by an underground Manchester label ‘Quadraphonic’ and No Justice has also been signed by ‘Whartone’

Not long ago, i blogged about Cream @ Amnesia in 2011. There are still no line-ups to announce yet, however tickets have gone on sale for all the cream nights this summer.

Standard entry tickets are priced at £34 (£38 inc booking fee) for the start and end of the season and they rise to £38 (£42 in booking fee) in the higher season which seems to be from 7th July to 25th August.

VIP tickets are available for £50 (£55) and £55 (£60).

How much the tickets will be on the island is anybody’s guess at the moment, If i remember rightly, cream used to offer a discount for tickets bought in the UK, however at these prices i don’t believe this is still the case. I would presume the tickets will be €40 on the island which means with today’s exchange rate it would be cheaper. Don’t hold me to this though as its only my view, i didn’t visit cream last year so i don’t know what the ticket prices were.
